The new guard on the 07.20 asked std class passengers not to walk through 1st class to exit the train again this morning. Yesterday they said this was because they needed to turn the train around and depart by 8.35. As I exited the train this morning I heard the guard tell his colleagues that the train was going to be to 09.00 so yesterdays excuse didn't wash today. The question is why did he put the announcment out today?

A few other regulars and I are stating to sus the reason behind this latest request and it's got nothing to do with a quick turn around and more to do with 1st class passengers moaning about us plebs walking through 1st class to the front of the train as we approach KX. I don't think those passengers are soiling or blocking their lovely clear, unclogged, uncongested coaches anything like std class but they obviously feel the doors in the 1st class coach can only be used by 1st class passengers and so complained.

Personally I'm more than happy to comply with these requests if the reason for it is purely operational. If we're correct and the reason is due to complaints from 1st class passengers, then I'm all for pouring through these coaches on mass. Who the fuck do they think they are anyway? In my book passengers are entitled to exit the train from whatever exit they so choose and I've never seen or heard of any regulations which state you can't.

Anybody fancy a mutiny if they put the same request out on Monday?
