It's a distinct posibility if't Yorkshire Post is owt to go by.
Apparently Mr Branson has teamed up with bus opperator Stagecoach to lauch a bid for ther ECML franchise.

This is not good news as far I'm concerned. I have nothing against Mr Branson and I think some of his companies provide an adequate level of service.

(Here comes the inevitable BUT)

But, I've not heard or seen much to convince me that Virgin run a good, reliable, affordable train service on the WCML so why would the ECML be any differant under their leadership. If anything I'd expect service to get worse. I think we could expect and of the following and more: -
The refurbed Diesels would be moved over to the WCML as their punctuality and reliability ratings are aparently worse than GNER's.
Season ticket benefits would be abolished.
Prices would go up.
Front line staff memebers would go down.
Trains will become dirtier.
Trolly service stopped.

Shall I go on or don't I need too?

Talking of the trolly service there wasn't one on this mornings 07.20 because of staff shortages. Perhaps the short staffing was because the trolly dolly slept in because they hadn't received their atomic watch. In fact the whole train ran about 5 mins late so perhaps the entire crew were waiting for the postman to deliover their new wathces before setting off to work.

I jest of course.
