Hampton train staion peterborough

Peterborough City council have had plans to build a new station in the Hampton area for a long time now. There's a rumour going round that these plans may now change and that the new station may well be built on the former Mushroom factory site at Yaxley.
Has anyone else heard about this?
If true I can envisage major conjestion problems in the future as there is only one road through Yaxley.
