well the staff on the 07.40 are not much better as this morning i had to put up with a very miserable old pensioner serving me my bacon toastie,i swear he looks like JABBA the hut from star wars, when it arrived just the sight of him drooling over my toastie or me i wasnt too sure he put me right off my breakfast,there he was bottom lip dangling down at 1 point i thought he was going to trip over it

I'm in the same boat. I've nearly got rid of the £20 vouchers becasue at £2.70 a pop, the cans of Stella soon make a dent in them. But I can't get rid of the upgrae voucher for love nor money. I've sat in 1st clas on at least a half dozen occasions since mid Sept and on each occasion, the guard has glanced at my season ticket, failed to spot it's a std class ticket and walked off. Great thinks I. I'll have another go next time. All in all I've still got 4 vouchers.

Sat in 1st on 3 occasions last week. Upgrade card stamped once. One guard even took it, looked at it and gave it back unstamped as he obviously didn't know what it was.

Annoyed? no. Surprised? yes.

so what ya worried about if your red card does not get stamped, it means you are getting a free ride in the first class, and you will still have your card intact for when one of the concencious G.N.E.R staff come-a-clicking, the lovely lass with the geordie accent is Claire, not Anna, Anna is the gorgeous one with the big bazoomas
