NXEC managed to put the seat reservations on the 07.20 for a full week. This week they managed it for the first time since Xmas. About fricking time too.
Having said that, why am I not confident they'll do the same next week?

Why these selfish crippled bastards use the train I will never know. They hold the train up, block up the isles and the new disabled toilets mean a severe reduction in boggs.
All cos these bastards want to use my train.
Piss off and drive I say.
I haaven't sampled the service yet, but I do commute to Kings Cross, and I have to say the National Express logo just doesn't look right on those dark blue trains. Stare at it long enough and the contrast gives you a headache.
stop whining you moron and iwouldnt advise travelling with them
Its all gone wrong today. The wires have come down between York and Darlington, so no trains between those stations. Network rail say that the lines should be fixed at 0600 tomorrow (wed). This should not affect the 0610 and 0640 from Peterborough as they don't go that way, but the 0700 does so may not run.
It ran but like the 07.20, 10 mins late. Under the circumstances, that's not too bad.
At least you guys had the benefit of a train service - it was a nightmare if you go north. They were throwing people off at Doncaster and saying "listen out for station announcements" - not helpful.
Apparently in York station staff were advising 5 hour delays. And they've hidden all the Delay Repay forms. That scheme is a farce anyway - 5 weeks plus now and not a peep out of them, letters and e-mails ignored.
NXEC = No Xplanation Even Communicated
The south entrance to the car park is closed again as well which is a real pain in the arse. Any one know why this time?
Health and safety I suppose...
6:40 was 25 mins late this morning so I got on the cattle cart and slept for an hour or so ![]()

Twice in the last week I have whitnessed a very sad yet easily avoidable situation whilst getting off of the train at Peterborough in the evening. As I have passed the most forward of the Standard class coaches there has been a customer( a different person each time)in a wheel chair waiting to get help from the platform staff to get off the train. Yet the platform staff had no idea they were there and if it was not for fellow passengers getting the attention of platform staff these poor people would have been on their way to Grantham(or worse!!).
Last night the NatEx guy on the platform was cursing the staff at Kings Cross who had not advised him that help was needed. I dont know who is responsible, but if I have seen this happen twice in a week God only knows how many more times it happens. It must be difficult enough travelling whilst confined to a chair without this added stress. On behalf of these people please get it sorted NatEx, this is not good enough,
