Heads up for Weds 12th

From NXEC's site, which, saints preserve us, appears to contain USEFUL INFORMATION:

At 1745, the Met office has issued a severe weather warning for 12 March affecting the East Coast route. Severe gales with gusts of up to 80mph have been forecast between 0900-1400, easing mid afternoon.

Journey times are expected to be doubled between the North East/Yorkshire and London Kings Cross due to services running at a maximum speed of 50 mph during this period.

It is advisable that unless your journey is essential, to defer your journey. Tickets will be valid for travel on Thursday 13 March.

is it my imagination, but when I check the live depature boards for PBO there are trains missing, not saying cancelled, just missing....

07:46 (EC) and 07:59 FCC as two examples.

I checked the live boards this morning on my laptop before leaving to catch the 0610. at 0545 it was still listed as "starts here". I get to the station, lo and behold it is cancelled.

Where does the 0610 start from? I bet it's far enough away that they knew it was cancelled at 0545...

I may be unlucky but lately this train seems to be cancelled more than not (I only catch it on Wednesdays).

Well. you'll all be glad to know that National Express are running a special timetable today. NOT THAT THEY CAN BE BOTHERED TO TELL THEIR OWN CUSTOMERS.

Check the National Express Website, and nothing. However have a look at the National Rail website and hey presto the special timetable.

Whilst Nat Express can't be blamed on the weather, the fact they can't be bothered to tell their own customers of their timetable is shockingly bad.

Oh and according to First Capital Connect, there are also overhead problems at Sandy.
